Gillian Scott Forrest talk on The Great Tapestry of Scotland

As described by Wikipedia, ‘The Great Tapestry of Scotland is one of the world’s largest community arts projects, created by one thousand people from across Scotland. It consists of one hundred and sixty linen panels and three hundred miles of wool depicting Scotland’s history, heritage, and culture from its formation to the present day.  The tapestry is housed in a purpose built centre in Galashiels, easily accessible from Edinburgh. During the creation of the tapestry, all the stitchers involved were encouraged to record their experiences.’

Several of our members are planning to visit Galashiels to view the Tapestry for themselves.
